Rajendra R. Shah, M.D. has practiced in the Chicago area for most of his medical career. After receiving his M.D. in India, Dr. Shah completed his surgery residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, IL before entering the plastic surgery residency program at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. After finishing his residency, Dr. Shah returned to the Chicago area where he opened his private practice and has been a member on staff at Christ Hospital since 1983.

Training and Experience

Dr. Shah served as a clinical instructor at Ohio State University while in Columbus, OH, then as assistant professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL until 1994.

He is currently a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has been involved in training plastic surgery residents for over 15 years. He routinely lectures at the University on various topics in cosmetic surgery. Teaching the new generation of plastic surgeons has been a rewarding experience for Dr. Shah.

Dr. Rajendra Shah is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons and Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons. He has served as President of the Chicago Society of Plastic Surgeons and is past President of the Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons. He has made numerous professional presentations and authored several articles on plastic surgery.

Dr. Rajendra Shah has two sons and a daughter and resides in the Chicago suburbs with his wife.
Dr. Shah is double board certified.

I recently had a lower face and neck lift with Dr. Rajendra Shah, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience or my results. From the very beginning, Dr. Shah and his staff were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive.
I was very anxious going into this, especially since I had never had any cosmetic procedure before. Dr. Shah immediately put me at ease, took the time to answer all of my questions, and truly listened to my concerns. His bedside manner is exceptional, and he was available and supportive every step of the way.
The follow-up care has been outstanding, with many visits to check on my healing and progress. I always felt well cared for and never rushed. Even just two weeks post-procedure, I am already so happy with my results and excited to see the final outcome.
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Shah to anyone considering a lower face and neck lift. He and his staff are truly wonderful, and I’m so grateful for my experience.

I can't pay enough wonderful things about Dr. Shah. He did absolutely amazing job and my results are beautiful, natural of exactly what I hoped for. His bedside manner is exceptional, and from start to finish he truly cared about my comfort and happiness. You can tell his top priority is making sure his patients feel confident and satisfied. I'm beyond happy with my results and would highly recommend him.

I have been plagued for years with a traumatic facial injury that left a large & invasive scar on my cheek bone. The scar pulled down a bit on my lower eye lid, preventing my eye from closing completely. Dr. Shah does beautiful work. He worked meticulously & carefully to release much of the scar & it has helped my appearance significantly. I emphasize how wonderful & competent he is & how supportive & professional his staff presents. All staff members seem to enjoy working here. There is no pretension here, only welcoming support from everyone.
